Intentional Parenting Part 1 (Smith family)

I'm very proud of our church and how we celebrate family dedication. Our goal is to come alongside parents early in the process and help them as they take on the 7000 day journey of raising the children that God has intrusted to them. We call it family dedication rather than baby dedication, because raising a child in a godly home happens because of the intentional effort of the whole family.

Part of the family dedication weekend (brunch on Saturday and presentation to church on Sunday) is for parents to write out ways that they are going to be intentional in their child's life to create the best environment for them to grow up knowing God's love for them, so that they will one day trust Him as their Savior. The parents are asked to discuss their plan with friends and family so that they can have support and prayers along the way.

This first family I would like to feature is the Smith family. The parents are Chuck and Meredith, and they actually dedicated two children, Hayes and Macy. I am so encouraged by the parents and families that are a part of our Highpoint family.
